ABOUT THE ARTIST
My beginnings date back to 1997, when I started at Z Films within the world of advertising. From the very beginning, I understood that production design and art direction were not merely technical trades, but ways of building visual narratives with intention. During this stage, I was involved in campaigns for brands such as Coca-Cola, Bacardi, and Corona, among many others, refining my eye and developing a strong creative judgment with each project.
During those years, I was part of projects directed by figures such as Alejandro González Iñárritu and Oliver Castro, and crossed paths with talents like Emmanuel Lubezki, whose visual sensitivity left a profound mark on the way I understand imagery.
Later on, I led the art direction of multiple advertising campaigns and audiovisual projects at Cineconcepto, working alongside director Christian Murguía, developing visual proposals that expanded my aesthetic language.
I also collaborated as an art director on various music videos with Rogelio Sicander, contributing to projects for artists such as Café Tacvba, Zoé, Juanes, and Molotov, where visual construction directly engages with music, rhythm, and concept.
In the field of series, I was in charge of production design alongside director Carlos Carrera in productions such as Lotería del Crimen and Dra. Lucía, and developed production design with director Pipe Ibarra in Hermanos y Detectives. These projects strengthened my experience in long-format storytelling, contributing to productions for platforms and companies such as Televisa, Telemundo, Sony, and TV Azteca.
This is how I have built my path: project by project, image by image, actively engaging in the creative development of each story, always seeking for every space to hold character, intention, and its own voice.
